V-22 Osprey just flew over central VA.

One of the more formidable aircraft I've ever witnessed.

On a boat in Mobile Bay one afternoon and I heard/felt this enormous energy behind me; I turn around to see one of these bad boys completing a sharp turn to come directly over head at what I've got to guess was full speed.

Those rotors are something else when they pass less than 1000 feet above.

Yea this one was several thousand feet high so not that loud but back in March two of them flew over probably only a thousand feet and sounded like a train going through my neighborhood. Propellors are huge!

I *just* had one go over me heading NW at a good clip.

All alone as well.

I'm in Fauquier county.

I actually had several dreams a while back where there were Osprey and Chinook type aircraft and shortly afterwards the shit hits the fan. Right after the dreams I started seeing Chinooks here. I have never seen Chinooks my whole life here and I've been here for decades. I have yet to see the Osprey but when I do I'll know the time is near.....

I had never even seen one until earlier this year. Their probably headed to the same place, the one I seen yesterday was moving rather good too.

We see them all the time in and around Stafford which is pretty much surrounded by Marine Base Quantico. They are usually solo, sometimes in a flight of two or three.

Seeing one on it's own is way more common than seeing more than one together in VA.

They are also considered Marine One for as far as the POTUS goes.

Mine was much lower, maybe 1,500 ft. Rattled everything on the ground.

Those things are a little crashy...didnt realize they were still using them. I would drive very fast in the opposite direction if I saw one!
