Exactly two months ago, the local newspaper ran a story thanking the Sheriff for 29 years of service in the community.

This paragraph does not seem logical to me.

Sure does sound like it!

1. That's not how guns made in the last 100 years work - thay cannot just 'go off' by being dropped.

2. Anyone that has carried for at least a couple years knows how to safely drop a deuce in a public bathroom without anyone even seeing the gun and having no possibility of leaving said gun behind. It's pretty simple- leave belt fastened on last hole and keep at knee level. Never touch the gun, it stays safely holstered.

I was thinking the same thing. Oddly written article. My dad works in Bibb County, and the word around the campfire is suicide. Strange, considering what a peaceful, rural place Bibb County is.

Hmm... at that point in his career and life I'm just not so sure this is suicide. I would order a thorough investigation

When I lived in Minnesota there was a case of a young boy sitting in his chair in his families home getting ready for the school bus. His mother found him dead in his chair and did not know what happened. It turned out a bullet went through the front door and through chair he was in and through his heart. It was a terrible accident as it turned out but they did not know what happened. It was a country residence kind of so unlikely a drive by shooting but just a bullet from nowhere.

Once more. Is bibb county related to government contractors or military.
