I am loving this thread. Merit would have a field day in there but he is busy. Trump is absolutely right about trudeau. And, seriously, do none of these guys in a room full of people and press and world leaders consider that there might be a hot mic?

Love how the media dismissed Trudeau's black face drama. Imagine if Trump did blackface 20 years ago.

Possibly one of my co-workers grandpa.
He had set up to have the road paved and the government simply expanded the boundaries of White Sands. He said the material looked like lead, but it assayed out pretty good and there was a lot of it. I took it that the appearance was why it had been overlooked.
Possibly it would have gone better if he had played his cards closer to his best.

I could use some of Merit's advice for the twentieth billion time. I don't think Merit gets thanked enough for all the help he provides. Thanks a bunch dood, Merit is one of GLP's unsung heroes.

The buddy who is more of an acquaintance is too much of a care bear.

He's considerate and that's nice, but he's surrounded by sharks and he gets constantly grieved by them asking him for free stuff or favors. He's a devout Christian but involved with weed, which makes him a target for all the con artists who he gets sick of because he thinks lowly of them. I think it's partly moral high horse and their total disregard for anything but getting high.

The care bear Christian has a lot of problems he could resolve quickly and easily if he wasn't a Christian. Sure I could give him pamphlets about Jesus being a martyred insurrectionist, but I don't want to destroy his faith because it's probably the only thing keeping him from throttling half the people who grieve him. :o Besides, it's nice having a semi decent person here albeit his constant complaints about being done wrong by the ferals and his own almost divorced family. He refuses to get divorced and fight for custody because he believes in marriage despite his being totally over according to his ex wife.

My problem is conflicting goals. I don't want to wreck the guy because he's a nice dood, but he needs to realise what he's doing isn't helping himself or his family in either the short or long term.

At the end of the day I want to help a dood who insists he doesn't need help and I guess that means he has to hit rock bottom before his life gets better. :(

According to mister care bear the ex wife hooked up with a junkie, so waiting it out isn't a desirable outcome because the junkie could offer the kids meth. Even though that's the course of action mr care bear chose.

I know a few people who can solve any problem, (They're involved in Australia's intelligence community.) but they won't act unless it was my problem, which it isn't really.

I thought about the angle of mr care bear's kids should come first. But I don't want to antagonise the guy and he's in a very unhappy place. Besides he's as smart as I am and I know he already ran down that rabbit hole.

I'm out of ideas and I know he's depressed because he doesn't see a light at the end of the tunnel.

It's a well minded Pidgeon that wants to get caught. You could never catch up with most of them! Pidgeons are a breed onto their own. There are very few that are wild. 3 weeks it takes to rear a wild pidgeon.

I can't believe this Space Force thing is real, as in really REAL. I don't even really know what to think about this - and I retired from the Air Force. They always kept the Space folks compartmentalized away from us - its just a mystery to me.

When are they gonna start showing us the real tech?
