why and how exactly have you been isolated for a year?

Time has sped up exponentially the last two decades.
Try the old "one thousand one, one thousand two" to keep time.
It doesnt match up amymore.

Embrace the solitude.adopt a cockroach as a pet,count the tiles in your cell.then count the cracks in the plaster.save urine for the ammonium nitrate,save your eggs for the sulphur and the sugar for the carbon and paper for charcoal.

A lot of our day to day markers for time are as a consequence of our inter-relatedness with others.

For instance , " Sally told me that she has a dentist appointment on Friday after lunch"


" Peter says he has to fix the down-pipe before the winter thaw happens in April."

And so on so being isolated has probably removed a lot of those markers for you.

Which in essence means you have entered a timeless state of almost timelessness because of course you are aware of sun rise and set and also the seasons but the rest is free except perhaps for family and others , including your own Birthdays,
which of course you note.

Yes that is a good way to put it, timelessness. The markers are still there through the internet, I have to keep reminding myself I'm not as far gone as I think but I'm afraid what happens in 6months, 1 year, 2 years what the consequences will be

I did the same for 7 years, it has its ups and downs. Depends on how you spend that time alone, it can be beneficial or harmful.

Do you still live by some kind of clock or habits you used to have before you started living in the cabin?

Go to a mental health drop in center during the day. Get to meet people, play board games, have coffee and donuts, trips around town.

I have to comment on this reply. The way you articulate yourself is very impressive. I've read some of your responses before and they are all very impressive. I agree with you totally with your thoughts on this subject.

I've isolated for probably half a decade. Way out in the middle of nowhere. No jobs, no car, everybody's dying and shit. Hell yeah I know all about the time distortions just sitting there staring at trees watching sun rise two days in a row. I can't say I dislike it. I got over being mad at humanity last year. I just wish y'all would be quiet.
