I do human resources and that's what it's been referred to in all documents published by the DOL and other HR publications. |

With overtime, it was hoped that they would get back to their previous year's pay amount - but no guarantee. These three people were all very vocal democrats, so I was going to give them the "change" they were asking for. I still might carry through with those plans, since this ruling has not been publicized well in my area... |

Until this rule is overturned, what President Obama proposed is in effect and goes into place December 1. |

Quoting: R&y If I remember correctly that was a bush thing. You can't just call someone management and get away with not paying them overtime. There's a duties test the employee has to pass depending on their occupation. If an employee is improperly classed then the employee can sue for unpaid OT and get not only the back OT wages but interest and employer has to pay fines on top of it. |
