Hearing Loud Booms the Last Two Nights. Central MA
Specifically Worcester. Heard this insanely loud boom last night when I was outside on the porch. It was so loud and unexpected I jumped. I thought it was a gunshot. It sounded like it came from the next street over, but cars were just driving down the street like no big deal. Then there was a second one, loud, but not as loud as the first. Ended up writing it off and went to bed.

Honestly forgot about it until about 20 minutes ago tonight. Just heard two more very loud booms, but not as loud as last night.

Can't find any info on local news sites in the area. Weird shit man

Call local police and ask what's up.

Might work in some communities, but in Worcester you only call the police if somebody died or is about to die

"Worcester, MA

There was little to no tail. Very bright. Seemingly large in comparison to most "shooting stars" I have seen."

"Norfolk, MA

First time I ever observed this. I have seen a shooting star once or twice but this was bigger, brighter and slower. It looked like a roman candle. A bright flaming white ball coming down from the sky. It appeared to have landed somewhere. I saw it at around 5 am while I was conducting an exterior round of a correctional facility. I thought by my quick research that it looked like a comet but people are laughing at that. Please let me know I am not nuts. I don't know what it was but it was not a plane or a shooting star? Look forward to your response. Thanks"

You live in MA... a gunshot is not a loud boom... if it were the sound of a transformer exploding or louder then it would be odd if it was reoccurring..

I've actually never actually heard a gunshot before, that's just what I thought it was because I was trying to be logical as to what it could have been. As to the person posting about some meteorological website, there was absolutely no flashes in the sky
