The "Pizzagate" situation is only the tip of the iceberg...but, if knowledge of it can awaken people to the systemic kidnapping, abuse and killing of children, in the world -- and cause people to finally demand a stop to it all -- then it's definitely worth discussing further.
Also, "proof" does exist, and has been shared on forums and networks across the Internet (many of which cannot be mentioned here, though). If you were sincere in your desire to find such proof, you could easily do so via a web search.
That may be true, but this particular pizza place has NOTHING to do with it.
Politicians have better things to do than diddle little kids.
And they're smarter than that, knowing that they are in the public eye.
A real pedophile wouldn't go into politics and run for president. Pedophiles are usually regular people like you and me.
That's not only a ridiculously false statement, but it's also an incredibly dangerous one, as it serves only to mislead people -- and to further protect the guilty individuals within government systems (and other powerful organizations).
If you actually knew anything at all about this topic, you'd certainly be aware of the fact that numerous studies have shown that sociopaths, sexual predators and deviants are frequently drawn to positions of power and influence.

Was Bill Clinton too smart to rape women and engage in other inappropriate sexual acts, "knowing that [he was] in the public eye"? Did Anthony Weiner's political aspirations prevent him from sexting underage girls?
How about perverts like Jared Fogle, of "Subway" fame? Did his popularity prevent him from raping children and becoming involved in pedophile rings?
In Hollywood, some of the
very "top" people in the industry -- directors, producers, actors, studio heads, etc. -- are involved in pedophilia, according to their many victims (such as poor Corey Haim, who tragically passed at the age of 38 in 2010).
So, no, being in "the public eye" most certainly does not stop the pedophiles, at all. If anything, their power, wealth and influence help them to continue their activities -- and remain protected.
It's because of people like you -- people who blindly defend these perverts, and who falsely state that powerful people wouldn't do such things -- that they can continue to engage in such sick and depraved acts, too.
Instead of defending them, perhaps you should take some time to educate yourself on the subject.
