It's pretty close to that amount even if its a rough estimate. Secret Service I've heard start well over 6 figures on sign on. There's usually a 6-8 man team. Then you got the 2 or 3 others in a van or other vehicle for surveillance, backup, call-out support, etc.

They probably also trying to factor in the wear and tear on those up-armored vehicles, gas, and just about anything else.

I would venture to guess though that it is at least a hard ehh....$700k without the nickle-and-dime charges they trying to add in.

Tell that to FORD MOTORs who donating 100 MILLION to violence.

What they pay for in NYC is what they DO NOT pay for in DC.

The Secret Service is paid by the federal government to protect the president's and vice president's families. Why do New Yorkers think their city pays for it? The liberals just need something else to complain about. More propaganda and the media prints it.

As for the security costs for Melania, most or much would fall on the federal government not NYC government, the city can bill the federal government and get reimbursed.

Still, it will not cost a million dollars a day. Maybe if Obama hadn't blown a BILLION for his overpass, we'd be able to afford protection for Melania.

Meanwhile, the illegals in the US are costing tax payers about $300 to $400 MILLION a day(!!) with more NYC costs more being than a million a day! Hey mayor - get rid of the illegals if you're having trouble coming up with the money!

NYC should stop being a sanctuary city. The money that it would save is more than a million dollars a day.
