Yeah, so just going to throw it out.
I've laughed with/at a bunch of you, pissed a few of you off, annoyed more than a few and posted some incredibly stupid shit over the years I've been visiting this crazy place... but tonight I'm asking for a little compassion and some well wishes for my departed canine friend.

She was a great dog, would have been 10 this Christmas. Loyal and unfailingly by my side through the best and worst of times. She will be greatly missed.

To you astral travelers, take a biscuit next time your out and about. give her a scratch behind the ears.

And yeah, i typed this with tears streaming down my face.

Peace out kids.

I offer my prayers for you and your departed loved one. No disrespect for your pet but a new puppy for Christmas would go a long way towards easing your pain.

Thanks so much everyone. Our new puppy cried as her big sister passed. It was truly heartbreaking. It is still very... raw.

Sorry to hear that ... even as a grown ass alpha male makes me tear up when dogs pass

We had one named stitch in Afghanistan that died in line of duty ... miss that dog still been 13 years

I lost my own Bella recently ... she could do triple blind retrieves as far out as she could hear the whistle in her day ... best damn duck duck and friend ever ... last 5 years she was to old to hunt but even up to her last week last gee me hiding a dummy in the living room and hand signaling to her ...

Not a more pure devotion than you get from a dog

Sorry about your loss

Yeah, I said the same thing until I brought the pup home. I knew my girl was reaching her time and just didn't want to be without canine companion.

The new pup has certainly been an adventure so far. She is starting to catch on to the daily work routine, but still has a long ways to go. The old girl did everything with me. Helped me get the animals where they needed to be, helped out will the chores - even if that meant chasing the pesky squirrel off while I pulled some wood out. The pup has a long ways to go, but she's smart as a whip and eager to please. I'm sure we will get along just fine.

Anyways, thanks for the moral support all. I left some greens where I could, really do appreciate it.

Need to take care of the old girl in the morning, so time to get some shuteye here so I can get things done come morning.

Again, thanks. Truly.

At some point in the forgotten past, mankind must have performed some noble, selfless, miraculous thing.
What was it?
What did we do to deserve dogs?
Sticks and stones may break my bones,
but hollow-points expand on impact.

" As the Wheel of Time turns, places wear many names. Men wear many names, many faces. Different faces, but always the same man. Yet no one knows the Great Pattern the Wheel weaves, or even the Pattern of an Age. We can only watch, and study, and hope."
