My vet gave me Tramadol for my cat after I had her fixed, so if you have access to any of that for humans, it's the same stuff. Just cut down the typical 50 mg pill appropriately.

Cats are dosed at 2-4 mg/kg (generally ¼ of a 50 mg tablet) BID (a few cats may become profoundly dysphoric and agitated). Metabolism is principally via hepatic biotransformation, with a small amount excreted unchanged by the kidneys. Side effects, though rare, may include GI upset and sedation.

A 7 lb cat is ~3.2 kg, so at 4mg/kg, you are looking at ~13 mg per dose, or ~1/4 pill.
