Do any other GLPER'S have a SOULMATE Friend?
I am married, but I keep having something strange happen and I have no explanation for it. I grew up with a friend he was 4 years older than me, he was my first boyfriend, we dated 3 years, I can not explain any reason why we ever quit dating but we did. I dated another person for awhile, but when we broke up I was dating my friend again, now please remember I was very young, and this was not sexual, this was just dating and hanging out.

Anyways, again after couple years we quit dating for reasons I can't explain nor could he. I met and married my husband, but this friend who has been married and divorced now twice has always appeared when I have deep trouble, such as when my Mama was dying, he came and never left my side, my husband could not be there the entire time, but my friend was there, so was his Mom. Then back in the summer when my Dad died, I looked up and there he was again, we talked all night right where we left off like no time had passed. About three weeks ago, I felt sorrow, I could not explain, it was in my heart. I then found out his Mama is sick and his wife left him. God moved me to call him, again totally innocent conversation, and mainly prayer. This past week his Mama asked me to call her, and she told me how much she loved me, and that I was meant to be with him.

I am happily married, but is there such a thing a friend soulmate? Do any of you have a friend that seems to always be there when nobody else is, and it's like no time has past, you pick up where you left off.

How can you have this great love for a person, you never have had one argument in your entire life, you just fit like a glove and are always pulled in that direction in their time of need?

Just curious, because this is so bizarre to me.

Yes. I think. I am in the same situation except I'm a dude. I've never cared or felt for anyone else the same way although married. I could sense her presence without any of my other 5 senses.. Makes me feel like an asshole.

Yeah I had one in high school :)

We had such a deep love for each other that is was higher then any kind of romantic love or any other kind of love I've ever experienced.

There was never any jealousy when we dated other people it was the most bizarre thing. We could sit there and hold hands or quick kiss on the lips.. even if we were dating other people.. and it didn't have any meaning or effect on our other relationships. It was like above any other relationship.

I don't really know how else to describe it but I know exactly what you mean

Yes, I am a dude. I have a soulmate. She lives about 900 miles from me. We communicate frequently and keep up with each other. It is not a romantic connection but we have always admitted that we are soulmates. She is a 'sensitive' and often communicates about her experiences with "the other side". We did have a romantic connection at one time but it did not go anywear.

I am a sensitive with empathy gift. I guess that is why I felt his sorrow. It is not sexual, it 1000 percent innocent, but he holds a place in my heart that is beyond reason and understanding. Glad to know others have this.

^^^^ I am feeling guilty, not from any wrong thoughts or wrong doing, but just because I am connected him. His mama is having surgery next week, and although it had been 10 years since I last spoke with her, all week we have talked all day on the phone. I have talked with him through his divorce, he is feeling better, but I am now feeling confused because this is beyond strange, and yeah it can make you feel like crap.

My soulmate is about 1600 miles from me, so I never see him either.

Re: Do any other GLPER'S have a SOULMATE Friend?
Yes. My best friend going on 33 years now.
I'm a married man, but he has always been there through thick and thin, and I for him. You could almost call it a bromance.
There's a deeper connection there beyond the platonic, but short of the romantic.
I consider him my soul brother..

Re: Do any other GLPER'S have a SOULMATE Friend?
it is an attraction of similiar ideas, aurora (for lack of better words), and morals coupled with a understanding of respect for each other, honesty and integrity.

basically it is one Christian recognizing another Christian that have had many "moments" together here on earth.

try not to worry about it or question it because in the next life (God willing you both love Jesus) there will be plenty of time to hang out together.

Re: Do any other GLPER'S have a SOULMATE Friend?
Could it be this?

AGAPE OR SELFLESS LOVE

"The highest and most radical type of love according to the Greeks is agape, or selfless unconditional love.

This type of love is not the sentimental outpouring that often passes as love in our society. It has nothing to do with the condition-based type of love that our sex-obsessed culture tries to pass as love.

Agape is what some call spiritual love. It is an unconditional love, bigger than ourselves, a boundless compassion, an infinite empathy. It is what the Buddhists describe as “mettā” or “universal loving kindness.” It is the purest form of love that is free from desires and expectations, and loves regardless of the flaws and shortcomings of others.

Agape is the love that is felt for that which we intuitively know as the divine truth: the love that accepts, forgives and believes for our greater good."
