Grab a cheap stone or three. fine, medium and a course. soak stones in water. keep them wet. tune up YouTube. Get to practicing. Once you have the stone skill move to diamond or ceramic. Stropping keeps a nice final edge. personally I do not like stropping. YouTube search "whittle on a stick" Mr Collins does a fine job instructing on proper sharpening. Keeping a knife sharp is a muscle memory skill, pure and simple. |
