Anonymous Coward User ID: 70609343 United States 01/09/2017 11:52 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Thank the gods, the temps are in the mid fifties, even now, after dark - it is still 47 degrees - but the WIND !!! Quoting: Sunny Daze gusts over a hundred miles an hour - no rain - we still had snow on the ground when this thing hit town ... no one has ever experienced anything like this ... it isn't blowing dust or even top soil around - its blowing GRAVEL --- don't know how many trucks it is blown over on I25 but they aren't even trying to put them up-right, as long as the wind keeps up - it must be blowing 40MPH steady - with gust between 60 - 100+ it started at 7PM last night - coming straight from the WEST, but leaving all the water in California and Nevada it is doing the same here, as it did there, backing up against the mountains, til it builds up enough to crest them, then rolls over the Peak like a tidal wave - pulling up trees by the roots, rolling cars over, knocking over 18 wheeler s, and flinging trash from the Coast to Kansas batten down the hatches - it's coming YOUR WAY kinda makes me believe that Planet X is close - because nothing like this has ever been recorded any one else out there with a link other than KKTV ? But, but in Florida, we get 120 MPH winds with a cat 5 |

Sunny Daze (OP) User ID: 59490123 United States 01/09/2017 11:55 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | What is a Chinook wind? Quoting: Prospektor When warm, moist air from the Pacific rises over the mountains in western Canada, it cools, and the moisture condenses out of the air. As the dry air descends over the eastern slopes, it picks up speed and warms significantly, creating the distinct Chinook wind signature. The winds can reach hurricane force and raise temperatures in the affected area by up to 40 degrees in a single hour. [link to www.reference.com (secure)] wow, thanks, I'll know what to look for, next time it goes from minus zero, for four days straight to - the mid forties AT NIGHT ... in January so is it going to go any farther East? (now that the Arctic Zone has collapsed, we get some gadawful cold dips it was funny because just last week, I was commenting that we hadn't had much wind at all this Winter ... usually our snows come in sideways, but this year we're in a snow-globe and loving how evenly the moisture is spread - instead of the tiresome drifts but that wind dried it all up and whisked it away ... which has its up-sides too (no mud) - it's all good, I trust it is the way it should be stay warm ... eat organic (snicker) Last Edited by Sunny Daze on 01/09/2017 11:57 PM |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72175305 at the speed it is traveling, I assume you are getting what we got starting at 7AM last night ... as long as you are in the east side of the mountains, you should be ok - better to face this thing than to get in its back wash in the hollers. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 71089372 It got pulled in short time, a few alt websites had it up flagged. I was just thinking about the thread with the 172 mph winds at a peak in the Sierras last night. Now this? Something seems kind of fucked up if you ask me... I'll see if I can find the article... Holy Sheep Shit I can't believe I found it!! Hoping link doesn't get me banned! I love the "holes" I bought my first computer so I could research SOHO ... spend years "sungazing" -and am, fairly convinced, that when you look "through" the (key-holes) you can see into "another world" - the sun is a portal. It feeds all the planets - it sustains us. Our creator (not to be confused with god) design this solar system to provide Eternal Life, on Earth ... doom is not going to come from the Universe ... it comes from withIN - and it starts when you "darken" your heart |

I'm telling you, it tried to blow the hair off my head - and probably got a handfull - that some bird in Virgina will build a nest out of this Spring |

[link to www.salem-news.com] I feel like we should revisit this... Oh yeah, I got right on that band wagon ... been researching pole shift for about a decade - very real possibility to me ... which is why I mentioned PX earlier, because if it is "clyclic" - something triggers it ... Knowing that we can, and have survived it - without prior knowledge - means (to me) that I can survive it (fairly) comfortably, with some preps ... I'm a serious prepper, my hous is earth bermed - I have envisioned it happening - without fear - it's a re-set ... and the next Age - is something wonderful, that we can't even imagine yet ... it is SO worth the "three days of darkeness " to get there. I feel so fortunate to be "in the body" NOW! |

Quoting: ItsaTwister Stay safe, OP I dove across Co - so many times, even lived here for an entire summer in the mid '90s - traveled up and down the Rockies ... but living out here on the Front Range, with my eyes full of their Majesty, just makes my day perfect - I never tire of the view, I can see from WY to NM ... I get up at dawn just to watch the sun kiss the mountains awake. |

In fact today a wind gust of 80mph was recorded at Colorado Springs airport for the first time in history. Fifteen semi trucks blown over at last count. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 73757433 yes, that is the distinct impression I got, from my neighbors and the local news ... this was unique I totally agree, that wind in CS is normal, so is weather that changes 180 at the drop of a hat ... but this was very different ... it felt "Ominous" Last Edited by Sunny Daze on 01/10/2017 01:21 AM |

I just stepped outside, and the night is calm and the moon is full its 40 degrees at midnight on Jan 9th - that's not normal either, which is not to say, it never happened or never will again ... it was a memorial day - to me but our "real" winter is yet to come - it's barely gotten started ... and what I love the most about Winters in Colorado is - the breaks in between - when you don't have to haul water its all good, wat don't kill ya, makes ya stronger - eh? |
