Tomorrow will finish laundry, mail bills, cook up a big pot of chili and ham & beans so that we have plenty for neighbors too. I will make cornbread and a big peach cobbler. Have lots of coffee, tea and hot chocolate as well. I need to find my ice cleats that go on my boots. Have extra blankets and lanterns, both cars filled. If power is out for an extended time, we'll grab the pups and head south for a bit of vacation. Everyone stay safe! Ice storms are horrible. Try to park vehicles where a tree will not fall on them. Use battery powered lanterns instead of candles. Be safe with kerosene, propane and never use a heater indoors that is not rated for indoor use! |

Oil lamps onhand, too. I'm cooking up comfort foods Friday so they'll just need to be warmed up and I can even do that in my fireplace! Wondering Mind User ID: 73265267 ![]() 01/12/2017 02:15 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | On the 10th late at night I had to open the bedroom window it got so hot in the room. It was a pouring rain outside and the night before we had thunder like back in 1993 or 94, except back then it rattled the house and things on the walls. We also had blizzards back then as well. Before the rains and warming it was bitter cold and snow. We had rain again on the 11th, I have been up since the early morning on the 11th. We will probably get bitter cold, snow and ice again, it will be back and forth in rotations. We were left out of the 2009 ice storm mainly because we are seated in a funnel section of the mountains. Yet, we got snowed under with the blizzard that followed it. It split a heavy, healthy and huge tree on the mountain above us and brought it down on our house. It came down over our master bedroom and reached all the way unto a guest bedroom three rooms away. We had 5 people show up at our house who got stranded in the storm, they stayed with us until we could dig the way out and take them home. This is like those days with wet rains swinging into bitter cold and snow. Any thing can happen here even up unto March and April. Been hanging out a lot with friends online playing BDO, they are in areas where blizzard types of winters are normal unto them. Yet, I like in the woods with big trees and they live in the cities with sky scrappers. They do not have to worry about being crushed to death in their beds by the trees. All in all I do love the cold and the beauty of winter snow lands We are having a good time and the game still has up the Christmas decorations. We are in the desert under the sand now. The most precious things are the simple things in life, always present in the simplest of minds. |

Weather hasn't been normal for years, its all artificial. Now, when they seem to choose regions to concentrate cold in, notice how other areas that should be getting winter are abnormally warm? I wonder when Trump is sworn in, will this end? The Devil tries to convince everyone he doesn't exist. The state tries to convince everyone they cannot resist. Do not go quietly into the good night.
