Why aren't biometric guns already compulsory?
The technology exists: guns that won't fire unless held by the legal owner.

It would prevent a lot of accidents at home and stolen guns would be useless without any impact on the reliability of the gun when it's in the hands of the legal owner.

In the case of an EMP or the like, an electronic gun will do you no good.

They would be able to be hacked somehow, the criminals would still all have guns.

EMP. Always the EMP. It seems to be almost a mythological weapon on GLP.

You can't create a proper EMP without explosives (conventional or nuclear) and it's very unlikely to be used against the population.

There's already billions of firearms of all types in circulation, electronic guns won't do shit for at least a thousand years, provided humans don't wipe themselves out before then.

JUST GET USED TO IT.

You don't want a gun with a chip in it. Any time there is a chip in anything it's a recipe for disaster. Leave guns mechanical only, way more reliable and safe.

Ok, supposing a person can only afford one gun. This person has a wife and kids. The husband buys the gun for home defense, the gun is in his name. The husband is away on a business trip, somebody breaks into the house. How is the wife supposed to defend her kids with a gun that will only work in her husbands hand.

With that fucked up logic of yours, why not ban swimming pools and water, too many kids are drowning.

No one in their right mind will ever accept a gun with a 'kill switch'.
Kamala Harris is not a Natural Born Citizen. She's illegally running.

Used by the Founders...
Book I of The Law of Nations, Chapter XIX, § 212 (Joseph Chitty numbering) – “Citizens and natives”
reads: 'The citizens are the members of the civil society; bound to this society by certain duties, and subject to
its authority, they equally participate in its advantages. The natives, or natural-born citizens, are those born in
the country, of parents who are citizens. As the society cannot exist and perpetuate itself otherwise than by
the children of the citizens
, those children naturally follow the condition of their fathers, and succeed to all
their rights.' 1758 Emerich de Vattel

Oh' What the Hell, do I look like I want to die in some nursing home one day...
America must have 4 new Constitutional Amendments...
1. Drug Tests and Mental Evaluations on all politicians and judges randomly five times per year.
2. Term Limits for Federal politicians and judges.
3. Mental and health standards for Supreme Court Justices and retirement age set.
4. A 'Star Chamber' of elected Natural Born Citizens (no attorney's) to ivestigate, try, and prosecute the politicians and government employee's as they see fit.

Mandatory death penalty by public hanging is the merciful sentence for pedos and their associates.

You mean like my biometric gun safe that takes 10 try to open. Or the biometric time clock that works half the time at my job. Alot of times I where gloves when I shoot anyway. Let the military test it our first and let us know how it works.

Re: Why aren't biometric guns already compulsory?
Rather than mandatory, I bet if the government gave special tax breaks on owning one that many people would buy one to carry.

For example, if you have small kids you can't keep a gun next to your bed because the odds of them getting hurt vs an intruder strongly favors a family accident. So for some cases I like the idea of one.

Re: Why aren't biometric guns already compulsory?
The most practical reasons are the cost and reliability issues. Secondary to that, it raises concerns that it may be possible to remotely disable the firearm in some way.

I'd argue that it won't work, anyway. There are already 400 million firearms in the country that were never designed to work with such a system. Even if you could adapt it, it would be easily defeated. Truthfully, even those built around such a system could probably be defeated by the user. A firearm is just a mechanical device, after all, and not a particularly complicated one.

The military has no use for it and, unless forced to by their political 'leaders', no major police agency will touch it due to the reliability concerns.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do some research BEFORE you spew young one because you're totally WRONG! An explosion and explosives are NOT needed to create an EMP.

OH and it's the perfect weapon against a population because unlike military equipment civilian equipment isn't hardened against EMP.

Make it compulsory for cops, federal agents, and military first... Then we'll talk.

hey. let's be fair, just make it mandatory for the Secret Service before pushing it on every citizen.
