do you ever feel god just dosent want you to suceed? I mean I am really at the point that I think he dosent want me to do well in life. That my life was meant for somthing not so great. I was meant to suffer. Thats kinda where i am. I know he has a plan but its hard to see when there is nothing there

Years ago I used to wonder that. My fear was that God's purpose for me was to serve as an example of failure.

Today, I know God's character far better and realize he wants ONLY the best for everyone, and he provides the power to enable us. He absolutely does not want you to fail, but wants you to know him and spend eternity with him.

More than ever, I agree with this. It's been like watching a movie where masses of people have been deluded, and the rest must help them or dodge them. The election aftemath is probably the most powerful example of my lifetime.

The Lord speaks to me through His Word. He tells me things like:

The righteous need not fear but the wicked have no sure foundation.

This world with its lusts thereof are passing away.

Lusts is bondage and death.

God's Son came to set us free from our lustful nature and give us His Divine nature to take its place.

We all must come to God the Father by Way of His Son: Jesus Christ.

He who has Jesus, has eternal life. He who does not have Jesus, is dead even while he lives because he abides in sin and there is NO Truth in him - He is as the beasts in the field and knows not that he is dead spiritually.

Those who love their Father's Commandments are the True believers. Sin has no control, power or influence over them nor does (spiritual) death.

We are not Saved by the keeping of the Commandments but rather, it is a sign that we are Saved when we seek to follow them and teach them as instructed by Christ. No man can keep all of the Commandments of our Heavenly Father but Christ did. He was our example; a perfect God-man who knew no sin. Unblemished; Holy; The Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world.

God invites all to repent and place their Faith in His Son and be Saved. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

God doesn't speak to me in words often (or if he does I'm not hearing it). Right now it's more like a feeling of encouragement. I feel encouragement to persevere in prayer every day and to be the person that Christ wants me to be, to not get discouraged because you never know the positive effect you may have on another.

That is why this threads topic makes no sense.. as when people pray, they speak their word.. hence god would be listening.

He makes clear his nature, that I might be able to discern lies, the misled, and to know my place in things. To follow that is to take roads others can't understand. He's something else. Lol gonna be an interesting year.😬

Turned 40 and lost faith. I feel like I'm talking to the ceiling and am turning agnostic.

He's shaking his head because all the avenues he presented me to steer away from problems were disregarded. He then probably thinks, "I guess this sinner has to learn the hard way". I guess it builds character but my heart is in the right place.
