The wording reminds me of a fairly popular occult practice of people seeking guidance from angels. Few realize they are hearing from fallen angels/demons.

I pray Devin calls upon Jesus Christ and seeks guidance only from the Holy Spirit and the Word of God, and that he rejects all other supernatural influence. I also ask that God lead people who can help him, to help him. In Jesus' name, amen.

It didn't worry me when I heard this. An angel spoke with Mary so that she would know she was chosen to give birth to the Son of God. Also, Angels spoke to the Apostles in Acts Chapter 1. Angelic encounters are common in Scripture. Everyone who belongs to God - I believe - has a Guardian Angel. Yes, we need to "test the spirits" to make sure they belong to God & acknowledge that Jesus is The Word made Flesh!
