Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | B Street Band, No. 1 Springsteen tribute act, will play Trump inauguration ball Apparently the tether to Bruce Springsteen only stretches so far. The B Street Band, based in Wall and self-described as the "original Bruce Springsteen tribute band," will play the Garden State Inaugural Ball in Washington next week, despite The Boss's disdain for the president-elect. "The republic is under siege by a moron. It's a tragedy for our democracy," Springsteen told Rolling Stone in September, prior to performing at a Hillary Clinton rally in Philadelphia the night before the election. Surely the idea of "Born to Run" or "Thunder Road" being played for Trump supporters and event honorary chair Gov. Chris Christie -- a diehard Boss fan though Bruce has openly mocked him -- isn't exactly Springsteen's idea of a good time. The event, hosted by the non-partisan New Jersey State Society, takes place Jan. 19. Ticket information is available at the New Jersey State Society website. [ link to www.nj.com] Pickle Suprise! |
