Something is wrong. Can't possibly be an actual quake without mass hysteria over a wide area. What kind of computer or sensor error would give the exact same incredible reading in two different places in a week?

I believe that one was in Turkey...

Depths are inverse so if it had said 116 that would have indicated 116 km below; -116 indicates that the earthquake happened 116 km above the earth.

Just googled '116 miles above the earth'

The magnitude and "depth" are very slightly different and the "quakes" occurred in different countries days apart. The source for both was the USGS feed, but I checked their map and it's not displayed there.

Some theories from the previous one were an obvious glitch, a Pakistani missile test, some sort of space phenomenon, or a prediction/warning. Either way it's quite odd for it to happen again.
(By the way I'm a She but it's all good.)

This could be a 'glitch' to cover up what I believe to be Pakistani nuke missile test in space... happens a 2nd time so the first was a 'glitch.

That site is either on to something that isn't earthquakes or it's just all together FUBARed. I'm leaning towards the latter.

The Global Incident Map records earthquake depths in kilometers so -116.084833km would be -72.13177108188 miles above earth.

This would place it well into the Thermosphere, where auroras occur and our satellites orbit.

The layer below that is the Mesosphere (extends to 85km/53mi), where meteors burn up.
Some people were suggesting meteors/other large objects exploding in our atmosphere but whatever this is seems to be happening too high up for that.
