This would place it well into the Thermosphere, where auroras occur and our satellites orbit. The layer below that is the Mesosphere (extends to 85km/53mi), where meteors burn up. Some people were suggesting meteors/other large objects exploding in our atmosphere but whatever this is seems to be happening too high up for that. I doubt the "depth" is accurate when not measuring through earth n shit. |
