USA: Trump vows to make "America greater than it has ever been” at welcome celebration

A day before his inauguration, US President-elect Donald Trump spoke to crowds at the "Make America Great Again!” welcome celebration in Washington D.C, Thursday.

Trump, his family as well as Vice-President-elect Mike Pence attended the celebration on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.

After a round of performances, Trump spoke to the crowds and promised that he will “work so hard to turn things around”. He added that he is “so looking forward to tomorrow, it will be amazing”.

The Welcome Celebration precedes the swearing-in of Donald Trump as the 45th president of the United States in an inaugural ceremony at the US Capitol Building in Washington DC on January 20.
