Dumping raw sewage into the sea is common practice. Sewage plants are not so difficult or expensive to solve, once the problem is identified and acknowledged.

One of the few places I would choose to live is New Zealand. It is recognised as a place where bankers are supposed to be buying bug-out safe places.

Not swimming in the sea is not such a big deal. Plenty of nutrients for the food chain and less harmful than plastic and industrial waste.
