Forget the moon, I'm still wondering how to get through radiation belts with a 1/16" aluminum skin. As time goes by, the lies get larger and larger. I read something the other day is that they drove or flew the Apollo to the poles and went out that way to go around the radiation. I guess they did the same thing upon return.

Other than having the "right stuff" none of them had any cancers to my knowledge. Even if the 'right stuff' go them through the van allen radiation belts, how did the 1/16" skin protect them from cosmic rays. Or did the 'right stuff' do that as well?

If the US put a man on the moon,it wasn't with the Apollo or the technology of the 1960s. I read in this thread that 35mm film wasn't capable of picking up star light.
