I have a strong gut feeling that our whole involvement in the Syrian shit was over that pipeline and we got drug into it...prob because Saudi threatened us with dropping the dollar as the reserve currency.

Just a hunch.

We need to cut the apron strings that tie us to the saudis, Qatar and the UAE.

If we can become energy independent, that takes a leverage stick away from a lot of countries

we can do all this stuff responsibly.....this isn't the 50's where they simply just tear the place apart.

You can just turn off a pipeline IF it leaks.

You can't do that with a cracked-open oil tankers.

That is outstanding for a reason most haven't thought of... Once the protestors get up in arms and stir shit we'll get to see them get their heads cracked by workers who want jobs to feed their families.

No they do matter but they need to negotiate.Waterways and all must be watched but good engineering (remember the epa fucked up a river last year)we can do this right so all can reap the benefits.Put great minds on this we may could find a new technology that hasn't yet been employed
