Re: Earthquake lights in Missouri, anyone capture?
Hi there. Your thread reminded me of some of the patterns I have seen over the years in this area.

On October 7, 2015- I captured this in the Arkansas sky.

Three Days Later...
OCTOBER 10, 2015
On October 10, 2015, a 4.4 magnitude quake recorded at 4:20 a.m. about 18 miles southwest of Medford and about 100 miles northwest of Cushing struck.
Then a 4.5 magnitude quake recorded by the U.S. Geological Survey at 5:03 p.m. occurred about one mile northwest of Cushing.
On Oct. 10, 2015, a total of eight earthquakes rumbled through Oklahoma.

BELOW ARE JUST A SMALL NUMBER OF CONNECTIONS I HAVE EXPERIENCED OVER THE PAST YEARS.
I FEEL AND SEE SO MANY PATTERNS/CONNECTIONS IN ALL OF THESE SURROUNDING STATES.

NOVEMBER 6, 2016
5.0 quake felt in Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri and Arkansas<<<I believe that these states are very connected when it comes to storms, tornadoes, earthquakes, and other events
The U.S. Geological Survey says the preliminary 5.0 magnitude quake occurred shortly before 7:45 p.m. west of Cushing, Okla., which is about 120 miles west of the Arkansas border. The quake had initially been listed as 5.3 magnitude, but it was later revised to a 5.0.

*To Note: I had been experiencing bad ear ringing and headaches the day before and on the day of this quake. I had several of my clients complaining about having the same symptoms (all are not familiar with the symptoms that a person experiences prior to an earthquake). I felt this quake and it was very bizarre. I was sitting at my computer that evening, I then heard a strong wind go by my window, followed a rumbling sound, then an unexpected sharp jolt (motion was forward to backward). The quake lasted 10 seconds.

On September 2, 2016, I captured this in the Arkansas Sky.

SEPTEMBER 3, 2016
A moderate earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.6 has struck near Pawnee in Oklahoma, with shaking being felt in Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Arkansas, and Texas, seismologists say, making it one of the largest earthquakes to ever hit the region. Reports of damage are coming in. *UPDATE: UPGRADED BACK TO A 5.8* The earthquake, which happened at 7:02 a.m. CT on Saturday ,was centered about 4.1 miles southwest of Masham in Oklahoma, or about 22 miles northeast of Stillwater. It struck at a depth of just 4.1 miles, making it a very shallow earthquake. Reports of tremors have been coming in from across the Midwest, with shaking being felt in states such as Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Nebraska, Texas and Iowa. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) estimates that as many as 3.9 million people may have felt the earthquake, including 75,000 people who may have felt strong shaking. One resident, in Morrison near the epicenter, said the early morning earthquake felt much stronger than earthquakes in the past. "It was way more than 5.8! I felt a 5.8 before. This was more like a 6.7," the resident said. Another resident in Morrison said the shaking lasted some 30 seconds.

OK back on to update. While I had conversation with my mom tonight she told me people were commenting on a st. Francois county group on Facebook about some type of sound they kept hearing today. I will get on there and update on here what they said. Canon like booms are not good. That's what the people reported before the big new Madrid quake.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 71298869

OP, are there many quarries over there?
 Quoting: Buttah Luvvah

Not to my knowledge.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 71298869

St. Francois County is totally undermined. As well as there is an underground aquifer under Farmington, MO.
Very dangerous area when New Madrid finally acts up, and it will ... just a matter of time.

Re: Earthquake lights in Missouri, anyone capture?
I live on beaver lake in NW AR. I have been hearing what sounds like cannon fire out here for the past few months really late (2-3am).

People shoot shotguns out here all the time. This is not a shotgun. It sounds like an artillery shell going off. I thought some rednecks had gotten their hands on some prefessional fireworks at first but their is never a flash or report.

You can actually hear it rumble across the hill tops it is so loud.
 Quoting: centrist77

Hi Centrist...I just wanted to share this with you. I always feel small rumblings in NWA. I posted this on January 10, 2017 in the earthquake thread because it was very alarming what I was hearing...Canon-like booms! I hadn't heard booms like this since 2011, 2012, 2013. I heard a couple of people talking about small explosion like rumblings and booms in the Copperhead Mountain area in December and in January. Just wanted to share this with you. I hope you have a good day.

hf

...

Hi spirit! hugs

No, I have not heard any loud booms. Have you? Or are you reading somewhere that people in my area have heard them?
 Quoting: KickinIt

Yes, I have. Two huge booms (two cannon like booms) about 45 mins apart on the evening of Saturday, Jan 7th. First one very loud and deep sounding. Then again on Sunday evening (1 big boom). And last night too.

Some people I know have been complaining about ringing in their ears (people who don't follow quakes and activity), while others are complaining of extreme fatigue, headaches, and dizziness out of nowhere.

That's not good...I remember the old newspaper accounts for the New Madrid, people were hearing these booms before the quake.

Spirit, thanks for sharing all of that here! Very informative for all. There are a lot of potential signs to be looking for when it comes to quakes and IMO this just shows there is likely a correlation between some of the strange sightings in the sky and EQ's. Also, that first video looks to be what the OP saw and started the post about- a vertical rainbow-ish glow in the sky.

Heard a massive boom yesterday, 1/25/17 around 4pm. The few neighbors around me at home at the time all came out to see what it was. No cause found. After searching the web, no answer either.

Location: near Sidney, Ohio

I found the above quote in this thread:
Thread: Non-categorized event in USA on January 26 2017 04:48 AM (UTC).

edit to add: a 2.5 EQ was reported in Ohio this week (some sites reporting it as W.Virginia), but it was on the 23rd, which would've been 2 days before the aforementioned boom was heard.

FWIW, which I am uncertain about, my ears have been ringing for maybe three weeks and it is a rather new phenomenon. Began diligently taking cal-mag-phosphorus, and has eased a little bit. S central-ish Missouri.

My question for the really intense earthquake students, did ringing of the ears precede previous large quakes?

OK it looked just like this, but vertical. I tried capturing it, but I don't have a smartphone and it didn't even show up. I know someone out there saw it, too. [link to www.naturphilosophie.co.uk]

I've seen that before. Twice. And I live no where near an earthquake zone. It's chemtrail residue.
It's oily. You ever dropped oil in water and seen the rainbow effect?
That's oil in the cloud moisture creating that effect.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72325042

I'm sure it can happen and no quakes occur, BUT there is much documented evidence of this occurring before big quakes. Research it, watch the recorded videos of them that people recorded hours before the quake. Let me know what you think.

The photo you linked to looked exactly like what I saw that was chemtrail related. A type of oil-based chemical solution that the sun was reflecting off of.

Now, earthquake lightening from what I have seen and heard of on videos appears to be related to static discharges.
Something I think that is altogether different.

[link to www.emsc-csem.org]

:sw_septclouds:

On October 14, 2015, I captured these amazing purple clouds and faint blue beams of light coming out above the clouds.

Two-Three Days Later...
OCTOBER 16, 2015-OCTOBER 17, 2015
Four Earthquakes Hit Southeast Missouri in a 24-Hour Period
The first quake measured 3.4 on the Richter Scale at 3:26 p.m. Friday. It was centered about 11 miles north, northwest of Doniphan and 29 miles west of Poplar Bluff. Just 24 minutes later, another quake shook the area again. A 3.2 magnitude hit about eight miles north of Doniphan at 3:50 p.m.

Trio of Oklahoma Earthquakes Rattles the Heartland
The first of the larger tremors hit at 12:49 p.m. CDT near Crescent, Oklahoma, about 40 miles north of Oklahoma City.
The second, more powerful earthquake came just 23 minutes later and was also centered near Crescent.
The second tremor measured a preliminary 4.5-magnitude, according to the USGS.
People across at least five states said they felt it: Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, Missouri and Arkansas.
The USGS estimates at least 1.9 million people felt some sort of shaking.

edit to add: just realized that these 2 tweets were posted at different times. The 2nd link happened today, just 2 hours ago. The first link was posted 15 hours ago, however, from what I was able to determine it also was in Ohio. Not sure if near Canton though.

edit again: Found explanation for the boom heard in Canton earlier today [link to www.cantonrep.com]

Thanks for reporting that! Any idea what time it was? And I'm assuming by "last night" you mean Friday night based on you posting that yesterday, right? The only meteor report I'm seeing posted anywhere near the MO area recently was Thursday night the 2nd (early on the 3rd UTC time): [link to www.amsmeteors.org]

The only thing that could come close in the 'pending reports' section is one witness in the Philly area the night of 2/3, but I can't imagine that is what you saw if you're in MO. It occurred at 4:45pm in MO, 5:45 EST: [link to www.amsmeteors.org]
