Just like two weeks ago, my microwave quit working.
It had a sticker on the back that said that.
It also had those security torx screws in it, but I knew from past experience there is a fuse in there.
Bought the security bit set for $5.99, took the thing apart and low and behold, there was a ceramic fuse in there.
20A, 250V fuse was $2.00.
Put new one in there and viola, it works again.
$8.00 fix and most people would have just thrown it out and bought a new one, or called a repairman.
Quoting: TheGasMan II Hey guy; this: "Bought the security bit set for $5.99"I need those too; where did you get that set? Thanks Quoting: Anonymous Coward 590644 Take whatever it is to an authorized service center -- those screws are for your safety, to keep you from messing with something you shouldn't Quoting: Anonymous Coward 69308990 Not one ounce of "handyman" or mechanical ability in your body is there? Do you drive a Prius too?
