Quoting: Anonymous Coward 195302You can't stop, that is what you have chosen to dream... Nor should you! You should just BE an asshole, even though everyone else will despise you, you will be in a state of joy and bliss that at the moment you cannot even comprehend. |

Aeon (OP) User ID: 195295 Australia 02/13/2007 07:03 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | When you are in the throes of despair, don't DO anything! BE grief, BE sadness, BE loneliness. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 182969Aeon What good is that? You will never know... so, what is the point of coming here and writing all this drivel then? Doesn't mean you don't act. It all lies in the way you experience it.. if you experience your ACTIONS as the DOER, rather than the the true BEING that you ARE, then you will live a life of misery, never awakening from the Dream, never stepping out into the Open, and dooming yourself to further aeons of pain and suffering. The Dreamer must awaken. |

for Aeon User ID: 146563 United States 02/13/2007 07:17 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | A, i appreciate your thread. i had a mid life unanticipated kundalini type awakening a few years ago. now i am not motivated like i used to be by "doing". i am active, but what i mean is not motivated by achieving, ego stuff, social judgments. want to be home with pets, child, in garden, exercising, meditating, dreaming (very lucid stuff lately), reading, experiencing. question for you: i work in an office environment and it no longer works for me - feeling like i am wasting hours and hours on nothing important. i don't fit in - don't respond to the carrot the way i used to. i need income, however. does one just wait out the process of transition to figure out proper useful employment? or is this a matter of attitude too? |

Hello, thankyou for your question. There are many many who feel the same way. The office is nothing more than a holding cell to keep you bound up. Nothing worse than seeing your life pass you by, your soul slowly dying as you DO a whole lot of inconsequential and meaningless tasks. I tell you, you are not a robot, you are not a machine. You are an infinite, eternal BEING with access to unlimited creativity and inventiveness. When you come back into the Open with us, you will start to BE , and the awakening Dreamer will infuse you with such power that you will be able to seize every opportunityt hat comes your way. Until then BE this Boredom, exist in the moment of awfulness and continue to act, but don't become involved feeling like you are DOING anything. This part of your life will fall away once you realise that you are a powerful creative BEING and that you are not a slave to doing this and that for money. Things will fall into place if you can BE in this pain of boredom and frustration of your office- work. It will not take long. It is scary though, easy to BE in the moment when you are at home relaxing with candles all around and incense burning, with a beautiful sunset lighting the sky Much harder to BE in the moment in your cubicle(cage)! You have the courage. You will awaken and join us in the Open. |
Aeon (OP) User ID: 195295 Australia 02/13/2007 07:37 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | look, i get paid for doing, not being - and not independently wealthy though very modestly leveraged. i AM interested in Aeon's advice re: income and reconciling spiritual path vs. "doing/performing" every day. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 146563When you become a human being, you will continue to act, to take actions to further your survival, to interact with others, etc. However you will not feel like you are DOing all these things.... you will feel like you are simply BEing the dream... You will understand soon. |

for Aeon User ID: 146563 United States 02/13/2007 08:34 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | A, thanks for the teaching and positive reinforcement (that is lacking in daily life). I know you are correct. The waiting is the hardest part. I wish there was a prescription you or another teacher could give me for the next transition. I am very detached from my daily worklife although I perform. Sometimes I feel like I will just float away, it's that detached. But the next (proper?) opportunity hasn't shown or been recognized by me yet. I am very attached to providing for my child and pets, even though I know attachment hinders. That I can't seem to get beyond. There are enough sustaining "being" moments with those spirits that matter (above) and environ that I proceed. I asked my yoga teacher, when the kundalini experience was very new, if I could just detach by accident and not meaningly leave my child. He said that you never leave (physical earthly) when you are truly needed.....just not lined up with where i shoiuld be right now... l "Until then BE this Boredom, exist in the moment of awfulness and continue to act, but don't become involved feeling like you are DOING anything. Anonymous Coward User ID: 80449 United States 02/13/2007 08:44 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ~thanks aeon. i agree :) One Taste is not some experience you bring about through effort; rather, it is the actual condition of all experience before you do anything to it. This uncontrived state is prior to effort, prior to grasping, prior to avoiding. It is the real world before you do anything to it, including the effort to "see it nondually". This is the world of One Taste, with no inside and no outside, no subject and no object, no in here versus out there, without means, without path and without goal. There are things known and there are things unknown, and in between are the doors. jim morrison |
