We're currently almost 200' below the 901 mark, yet they never did drain in below the 653 to fix the "spring" leak in the wall.
I've no concerns about them even having to use the gates this year, but it doesn't mean I feel any better about the dam wall and that corner.
I am beginning to think that whole thing last year really was a gold heist. At the same time, an "earthen" dam doesn't last forever, no matter what spillways and gates you throw in it.
