On that latest blancolirio vid the bridge road over the spillway channelwas still intact with the water half up its bank. How did/will they clear all that debris? That was 19 Feb I think.
Has the road bridge been cleared? Surely by now? If it has been cleared surely they can not have dredged the channel clear with all that water flopping over the road debris.
Will all that loose gravel/sand etc cause the gates/ or help scour the channel creating problems?
Did they leave clearing the spillway channel TOO LATE? Hmmmmm
Quoting: mon KeyHanger I'm not sure I understand. Local news said the contractor was removing equipment and debris from the spillway (below the gates) in case it is to be used. Did you see debris elsewhere? Quoting: Crunch62 no the road bridge over the spillway channel....back of the gates Quoting: mon KeyHanger I looked at the video. The road behind the gates is something that was built for construction access. I certainly hope they have removed it. It is completely blocking the spillway intake channel Quoting: Crunch62 My point is they had not cleared it by feb 19 and the lake water already half way up it...so how easy is it to clear when inundated. Probably even more water than that shown in vid.
