I didn't know anything about the San Luis dam so I looked it up. [ link to cah2oresearch.com (secure)] This is insane, that the dam even still exists. If you live in the path of a collapse, it sounds like if, not when. Quoting: Prayandprepare000 WOW...VERY GOOD THAT U PUT THIS UP HERE....!....THE THING IS 3 MILES WIDE! Quoting: UH 76380850 This is a very big dam, at the base of where the mountains (think San Andreas fault mountains) meet the Central Valley, one of the biggest farm valleys on the planet. The valley floor is completely flat, nothing to stop the water if that dam should fail, or spill over. Crop damage alone could be catastrophic.
