Biggest one in decades in S CA.

A fault line runs right through the side of the lake, and sometimes earthquakes stress nearby faults. We really don't know all there is to know about earthquakes.

I consider holding O Lake this high to be criminal insanity. The ground is probably saturated.

I have not watched Dutchincence yet today but we were thinking the next place to pop is going to be off the coast. In the cascadia zone. With all the volcanic activity this week etc definitely peeking up my ears more to the fact that we live right under a giant ass volcano now lol

I was supposed to be in butte county again today. Glad I am not. I don’t want to be anywhere near under Shasta or oroville dam when we are having a big EQ swarm. I “felt” the 4th of July doom coming all week but thought it would be more a false flag event. I guess we will see how the day goes. Still tripping on your observations about how the dam felt.i trust that kind of intuitive actual experience more than most units of measurement. I am the type of person that wants to feel it for myself. Scary with the earthquakes tho.

Lassen ( Shasta Dam) is a volcanic area. Dutch says eq energy releases near volcanos and drilling sites. Today's Cali 6.5 was on a double whammy area; ancient volcano that had been man drilled for geothermal energy. Sacramento could still be in trouble if the energy being released moves up to the Lassen area. ORV is built on natural faults so it's still a situation worth monitoring imo. It ain't over.....

We are camp fire survivors living pretty much right on the mount Shasta so....

Also lassen affects oroville more.i would keep a good eye on the almanor area that is right by lassen

yes, exactly. but Dutch explained ( i provided time stamped link) that the energy has not released. it can and should go out east but it could go to be released in an area that includes Shasta, Almanor and all the dams above.

where are the good live streams of quake coverage? Dutch has his live thing on but not really anything going on and I can't find a good ridgeview news live stream. thanks. please keep me posted on all things EQ and dam related. hard to keep up when cooking etc

I wonder if the lake sloshed around any like the pools did in LA and Las Vegas. If you get a bigger closer one it could possibly cause one or more of the gates to be taken out by sloshing then they couldn't control the outflow anymore and the dam could start vibrating too much once again. I think they are too afraid to open the gates because it get out of control vibration wise if they could get the gates closed back up.
