When Cahill evaluates a dam, he digs holes and sends cameras through drains and crawls through pipes and sends divers down. It's a big deal.

DWR had some guys look ONLY at the spillway briefly, they were specifically told not to examine the gates or emergency SW, and three and a half hours they issued their report that all is well.

The dam is failing. The gate structure is sinking as the bedrock settles from water porting under, and we see soil erosion.

If you think they will fix it, do nothing. If you think they won't, prepare to lose a great deal of central valley production. Maybe they will decide to take it down....maybe not.

Did you know dams are designed to meet a specific maximum storm flood, and when it broke in 2017 that flood was only 4 percent of the legal design? Cahill said one day they'll get that big storm....do you think this dam can handle 25 times what it had in 2017???
