Maybe Governor Newsom is going to give an address from up there dedicating the new spillways.

He certainly couldn't do it down the main spillway like Governor Reagan did, due all the gate leakage, mud and slime.

Then again, Newsom = slime, so why not?

Maybe it's a viewing area for the elite to watch the dam go.

they are not letting any vehicle traffic over the 'guardrail lane'. Blocked off for some time both sides of headwork's bridge by the looks of thangs.

Yeah, looks like both lanes blocked now, and they just brought in a compressor trailer. Poor bastards on the far side lined up just trying to go to lunch.

Dropping the air hose over the railing onto the spillway by the blue tent.

Its not supposed to port up ONTO the spillway in this manner.. this is porting thru due to the pressure from the water behind that dam and not ground water.

I think they may be doing grouting down below the bridge/spillway juncture. Handing buckets, etc., to guys working down below the 'road gap' area.

The workers on the wooden deck have been having a conference for nearly an hour.

I would suggest they are now filling in the cut/cleaned area of the horizontal spall, the area that the end of the bridge should sit on that was all busted up.

The scaffold was to get at the area, cut away the damged/spalled concrete, maybe some new re bar, fill the area the hard way with new concrete.

By hand!

Expect the scaffold to come out over the next week.

I'm surprised Clause hasn't done any photos of the scaffold or any of the work being done there.....

He's had many pics of the area under the bridge in the past....

I can never see half the things on these Twitter pictures they talk about, but we have a saturated hillside in an environment close to significant recent earthquakes. So your conclusion is certainly possible.
