No. People put their boats on and take them off in the same trip. Often after work for just a couple hours. The weather is still ok for boating. There are lots of locals that should be on the lake, and are not. Has been that way all year.

Yes. The majority of fishing and ski boats on the lake are day trips. Launched in the morning and removed in the afternoon via the boat ramps. Larger boats such as houseboats and patio boats often have moorings in the marinas, but even they have not been very active this year.

There is a lot of distrust among the public locally regarding DWR and the management of the reservoir.

And Juan in his video, standing on top of the dam stating, "Look, no green spot".

Dolt. It would not even be visible from where he was standing, as it is further down the face of the dam. I guarantee the green spot is still there, regardless of the current lake elevation.

It is obvious DWR is actively concealing faults and potential failure issues with the dam. The redacting and blacked-out text in the recently published Oroville Dam Needs Assessment proves this.

And why does the title of that document on the DWR site read, "Tribal Informational Meeting Update on Delta Conveyance Meeting..." instead of "Oroville Dam Needs Assessment"? For the purpose of making it more difficult to find that redacted document in a search?

We, as the public downstream from Oroville Dam are being hoodwinked. Information important to our survival is being kept from us. Sources I trusted as being on 'our side' have betrayed us. And not just Juan.

Just a reminder for Crunch ... and others just downstream from the Dam.

I keep thinking back to very early in the thread and the person who had a vision of the Oroville dam, spillway area actually. That vision matches up much more closely to the REBUILT spillway than as it existed when the initial failure of the spillway was occuring and the person posted their vision. fwiw that person claimed to have been able to accurately see MANY events that later turned out to actually occur.

I am sure Crunch will remember this, but her vision corresponded most closely to a situation that would occur if upstream Lake Almanor would breach it's dam and come down the Feather River Gorge since her vision involved the SUDDEN overtopping of the weir and control gate structure at the top of the spillway.

WHY would/could that happen?

A major earthquake under the dam at Almanor is a potential cause, and as Crunch has previously mentioned he recalls a number of EQ's UNDER that lake/dam/spillway complex high above Lake Oroville. The collapse of the dam/spillway of Lake Almanor would NOT be a problem with the lake now much lower ... but could be a problem as Oroville would get close to capacity again and be unable to hold back extra water coming into it from such an event.

IF a major EQ would hit that area (either Lake Almanor OR Oroville Dam area) IF I was a person who lived downstream of Oroville Dam I would EVACUATE immediately until it became clear that everything was A-OK, which should only take a few hours.

As we enter the rainy season in that area just keep that EQ risk to the dams and spillways in the back of your brain and be ready to move out of the floodplain at once if a major one hits ... LONG BEFORE any warning of any problems would, or could, be issued.

Even people with a solid record of being precognitive are not always accurate with what they see, but if they do have a record of some accuracy then it does cause my antenna to go up when events start to match up to their "visions".

Anyway, a ton of major infrastructure was built during the cold war when we feared nuclear war with Russia and invasion. Preston says much of it had built in tactical nukes so it could be destroyed before Russia took it.
