"Third-person narration provides the greatest flexibility to the author and thus is the most commonly used narrative mode in literature."

We don't hear much of this:

"yeah, I saw Jesus. He walked out of the burial cave entrance"

Quite telling.

Re: Why is the Bible written in 3rd person narrative mode like most fictional literature?
In the third-person narrative mode, each and every character is referred to by the narrator as "he", "she", "it", or "they", but never as "I" or "we" (first-person), or "you" (second-person). This makes it clear that the narrator is an unspecified entity or uninvolved person who conveys the story and is not a character of any kind within the story.

The author is God and He is looking at the Universe and the Earth from a place farther away.

2Co:12:2:
I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago,
(whether in the body,
I cannot tell;
or whether out of the body,
I cannot tell:
God knoweth;)
such an one caught up to the third heaven.

Heb:12:22:
But ye are come unto mount Sion,
and unto the city of the living God,
the heavenly Jerusalem,
and to an innumerable company of angels,

1Jo:5:7:
For there are three that bear record in heaven,
the Father,
the Word,
and the Holy Ghost:
and these three are one.
1Jo:5:8:
And there are three that bear witness in earth,
the Spirit,
and the water,
and the blood:
and these three agree in one.
