JW's are nice people and I grew up with organized religion (not JW) and it does not serve the proper human condition to be the best person you can be. It is a mind trap.

Religion at best is a guide because there is always some truth regarding love and compassion yet it ultimately ends up being a control system that makes one grow up with fear and guilt. Then give us your money.

The author of the gospel of John is the only one to believe that Jesus was God, the only one to say that Jesus himself made that claim, the only one to mention the trinity and the only one to say that Jesus always existed and that he was always a divine being.

In the Gospel of John, Jesus does not become the son of god at the baptism as in Mark and is not born of a virgin as in Matthew and Luke.

Interesting. But it was taken from pagan beliefs as well because Constantine was trying to bring peace by merging pagan and Christian beliefs together. That is where immortal soul and hell fire doctrine come from as well.

Supposedly God began collecting the 144,000 at Pentecost in A.D. 33 but stopped collecting them in 1935, when the full number was reached. They believe the rest of them will live on a paradise earth which Adam and Eve lost for us and those that are dead will be resurrected to that earth. That is why Jesus was performing resurrections on earth to show what he will do during his thousand year reign.

Until Adam and Eve lost perfection for us all and the paradise, heaven was not meant for humans. But some humans will form a government with Jesus to reign over the new earth. They will be judges along with Jesus.

That is what I learned when reading the Bible.
