They have finally come to realize that Trump is not going to back down from them so their new strategy is to try and re-create the Tea Party movement to attack the spineless jellyfish Congressional Republicans and get them to roll over like they always do. They want the Republicans to fear that they will get swept out of power in 2018 and 2020 just like the dems did in 2010 and 2016. however, the stark difference is that the original Tea Party was organic and it brought non-political people into the fold. This new "whatever it is" is not organic and is not bringing in any new faces, just the same old hacks that already show up to every other protest.  |
