The merger would give Bayer 1/4 of the world market for seeds and pesticides, resulting in less industry competition, higher seed prices, and eventually higher food prices. Several U.S. state attorneys have joined a federal antitrust investigation into the merger. There had been growing skepticism that the deal would actually close, since both companies’ stocks had been trading lower since the acquisition was announced. However, since Trump’s election November 8, Monsanto shares have risen more than 4%. Some experts fear that with Sessions as U.S. Attorney General, the heavy scrutiny seen under the Obama administration could lighten up. [1] Evercore ISI’s Head of Political Analysis Terry Haines wrote November 19: “Sessions’ likely nomination and confirmation by the Senate, in which he has served since 1997, is a market positive for merger and acquisition activity. Sessions as attorney general would shift immediately from the current mostly ‘red light’ Obama antitrust/competition policy and move towards one that would be friendlier to M&A activity.” As attorney general, Sessions would not only lead the Justice Department, he would also be tasked with enforcing antitrust laws and prosecuting white-collar crimes, among other things. According to Haines, Sessions won’t automatically associate larger companies with less market competition. Sessions may decide, “that no reflexive test for the disapproval of a merger should be applied, as Obama regulators did with their ‘no 4 into 3’ doctrine.” Fake News Kamala Harris is not a Natural Born Citizen. She's illegally running. Used by the Founders... Book I of The Law of Nations, Chapter XIX, § 212 (Joseph Chitty numbering) – “Citizens and natives” reads: 'The citizens are the members of the civil society; bound to this society by certain duties, and subject to its authority, they equally participate in its advantages. The natives, or natural-born citizens, are those born in the country, of parents who are citizens. As the society cannot exist and perpetuate itself otherwise than by the children of the citizens, those children naturally follow the condition of their fathers, and succeed to all their rights.' 1758 Emerich de Vattel Oh' What the Hell, do I look like I want to die in some nursing home one day... America must have 4 new Constitutional Amendments... 1. Drug Tests and Mental Evaluations on all politicians and judges randomly five times per year. 2. Term Limits for Federal politicians and judges. 3. Mental and health standards for Supreme Court Justices and retirement age set. 4. A 'Star Chamber' of elected Natural Born Citizens (no attorney's) to ivestigate, try, and prosecute the politicians and government employee's as they see fit. Mandatory death penalty by public hanging is the merciful sentence for pedos and their associates. Democrats are a WMD, literally. Let Justice Be Done Though The Heavens Fall. |

He saved Monsanto jobs, or at least claims he did. He also made a comment about corn and the brain way back when, so he's very aware of GMOs. As Grumpier said, we need to wait and see. Do your own research. His stance on GMOs is not very clear. |
