Whites were always the minority in the larger South Africa, but back in the 1700 and 1800's there were lots of empty land where us whites settled and started to build a life for ourselves. We tried to live in peace and get along with everyone...and the whole country propered. Since the 1900's, the advance of modern medicine resulted in a population explosion and we were out bread significantly and became an ever smaller minority. The land filled up and there wasn't enough to go round no more. For a short while we tried to protect ourselves from mob rule, by implementing the Apartheid system. The ideal might have been pure, but in practice it failed miserably and we trampled on others. Whel, our guilt got the better of us and whites in South Africa voted to abolish Apartheid and embrace an open democracy....well, 23 years later, we still pay a price. We are only tolerated because we still pay our taxes and we create jobs for others, but we are hated and despised. It won't get better. I should have left years ago. I was a fool. I thought we were going to build a great unified country. The majority doesn't want that. They want it all for themselves and they want revenge. Whitey must suffer, whitey must pay. In North America most Native Americans died of smallpox and never saw the Europeans due to the fact the disease spread faster than the settlers. In Latin America it was conquistadors like Ramos. The crimes of slavery and occupation of Native land by Conquistadors like Ramos were 20x that of the United States.
