Jammer (OP) User ID: 196885 ![]() 02/17/2007 03:42 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | best so far! At least we get two guesses. I am thinking there is a vibrational fequency force emminating from the underground, but that's me... anybody else? The wind blew through an object at the airport that acted Quoting: bbblike a whistle making a harmonic sound mathching the harmonic of the laminate used in the windscreens thus cracking them. Quoting: JammerThat was my first guess, too. That's what I mean by spooked. I just spent the last hour or so reading all the thread stuff on the Denver airport, and then I read your article, and the hair on the back on my neck stood up. Good find, Jammer. |

Peter User ID: 192373 ![]() 02/17/2007 04:37 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I am thinking there is a vibrational fequency force emminating from the underground, but that's me... anybody else? Quoting: JammerThat can't be it. If it was a simple vibration, then we would be hearing reports about house windows and car windows also cracking in the same locations. This phenomenon was restricted to airplane windows exclusively, it seems. Perhaps there is a sort of vibration that would not be harmful to normal single-layer windows but which the multiple-layer airplane windows cannot tolerate? - Peter |

Jammer (OP) User ID: 196885 ![]() 02/17/2007 05:43 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Then that leads to the question of "What degree in temperature can the windshields take before they succumb to cracking?" 197194, I don't think so. These jets take of in 100+ degree weather, and within seconds they are in temperatures below freezing. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1807Your VILLAGE called, their IDIOT is missing.
