How can anyone still be naive enough to believe this crap in 2020? It will take them another 20 years to get to the moon at the rate they are going, and I bet they lose some people trying it too.

They could have been used for that purpose but to my knowledge only one space station was sent up and it was called Skylab. It was a modified third stage and it had severe design flaws.

Traveling to and landing on the moon would be pretty easy. Getting their and back alive would be a challenge, with todays much more advanced technology. What does that tell you?

Not a FLAT TARD, but this video was kind of cool.

The LEM never worked on Earth. It crashed during a test flight, and they never got it to work. But then they sent it to the moon and crossed their fingers, and it worked every time! What great luck!

The plain truth is that they didn't have the technology to land a rocket back in the 60's. SpaceX managed to land a rocket only recently. It takes precise computer control.

The LEM didn't have computer control. It's steering thrusters were manually controlled. And the guy controlling them didn't even have a clear view of where he was going. He had a small window facing to the side, that's all. Very limited field of view and only showing a few stars, not the ground.

My opinion is that they tried to go to the moon, but the challenges proved too hard to overcome on schedule, so they faked part of it to avoid losing face. They blasted off in space and stayed in Earth orbit, the rest of the mission was faked.

That's why there was two control room, launch control and mission control. Directly after launch command was shifted to mission control - which was manned by a very small circle of people. 99 % of the people involved with the project thought they went to the moon, only the astronauts and the people in mission control knew the truth. That's how you keep a secret.

Neil Armstrong clearly didn't enjoy playing his role, keeping his mouth shut instead of selling the scam actively. He refused to give any interviews or comment on his experiences as "the first man on the moon".

Chemical rockets can not produce thrust in the vacuum of space.
The thrust goes everywhere at once.
If it were possible, you should be able to fly by pulling hard enough on your shoe laces to levitate.
