Sadly, it seems we have the administration and parents lined up against the teachers. Once upon a time...if the school called my home to complain about something I'd done I knew I was going to catch ten times the grief at home than I ever caught at school. No parent ever threatened to sue the school. We got our asses handed to us at home; the school was supported by the parents. I mean when I go into her class those kids love her. And even though she is firm on rules I have never seen another teacher celebrate their students like my wife does. I mean yes she will write a kid up for talking all through class but then turn around and take the same kid to McDonald's for lunch and celebrate the hell out of them when they succeed and reverse that behavior. But what you say makes sense. The super nice teachers I see are doormats. They don't have the same expectations and therefore they are disappointed. I don't have the answer. I can just see it is badly broken. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot Certain things, they should stay the way they are.
