Independence wont happen as the majority of us Scots still want to be part of the union

I can't wait for the shock the Scottish Parliament gets when the Scottish people vote for independence and then the rest of the UK cuts off contributions from Westminster.

Seems rather strange to me that Scotland, who has four times more trade with the rest of the UK than it does with the EU, would wish to go down this route.

Personally I think that another Scottish referendum will result in an overwhelming majority to remain within the UK and will result in a devastating blow to the SNP.

There is absolutely no way Scotland would be rejoining the EU after Brexit.
Once the UK triggers article 50 Scotland will be out like it or not. Independence won't change that. Spain will veto any notion of Scotland rejoining because it would legitimize independence for Catalonia.

Absolutely barmy. Sturgeon hates the English and wants independence regardless. Pretending it's because they don't want to be "dragged out of the EU against their will" is bullshit.

By leaving the UK, they are throwing the baby out with the bathwater. There is no guarantee they will join the EU. First they will have to demonstrate they can manage their own affairs/finances. The last thing the EU needs is another charity case.

Then there is a very good chance Spain would veto their membership application anyway as they don't want to give the catalans any ideas...
