It's not "stealing money". First off, cabs have had it easy for the last 60 years.. All they have to do is drive you from point A to point B. Taxis are usually uncomfortable, often beat to shit. The driver doesn't have to be friendly. You have to wait around on the street for them and hopefully flag one down, or you call one and wait 15 minutes or more.

Uber on the otherhand is quicker, the vehicles are newer models much more comfortable and better equipped than taxis. Uber is definitely more secure (especially for women), and the drivers are generally much nicer than taxi drivers. Uber also costs less and you don't have to stand in the street waiting for them.

Business changes and innovation will always succeed. People want better service and Uber's unique model can offer that. If Taxis want to compete, they need to deliver competitive service by updating the way they function. Taxis price gouge for mediocre service and it's always been that way. I don't feel the least bit sad. Uber is giving people opporunity to work who never could before.

Learn addition, idiot. He said he made $200 in 5 hours. Probably put a total of less than 50 miles in the car. It's not bad, regardless of gas and wear and tear. Still an easy 30 per hour, minimum.
