This is a problem that every city in America will face since they all have those same lead pipes that are ancient carrying their water. The President should make the EPA hold the people to whom they are giving the money accountable, even weekly reports, so as to make sure they don't do what states and city usually do with the money....they put it towards something else, like dictators who keep it for themselves and let their people starve. There has to be accountability...if the federal government gives you money for something then that money better go for only the something for which it was given. And, in this case it better be under budget and ahead of schedule. |
