People don't want to acknowledge - that it's because we have hearts and care about others that we DID let the illegals slide for long. We were a prosperous nation, we had jobs a plenty - we could afford to be generous and turn a blind eye. For those who had extra money, the benefit was indeed cheap labor. It was a trade off. For the rest of us, we knew it was giving them a chance at a good life for their kids. And that was a good thing. But we aren't prosperous anymore. We don't have jobs a plenty. Our own people need our help. And charity begins at home. It's sad. But it's life. Sorry folks. Border's closed until further notice. I'd have liked them to have respected our situation and stopped coming. Instead, we have to waste money and build a wall. Their loss.
