Bumblebees make US endangered-species list for first time
The rusty patched bumblebee is finally getting the attention it deserves. It's the first bumblebee in the United States to be listed as endangered.

The bee is one of the pollinators experiencing serious declines across the country, according to the US Fish and Wildlife Service.

"Why is this important? Pollinators are small but mighty parts of the natural mechanism that sustains us and our world," Midwest Regional Director Tom Melius said in a statement in January. "Without them, our forests, parks, meadows and shrub lands, and the abundant, vibrant life they support, cannot survive, and our crops require laborious, costly pollination by hand."

bumblebees are solitary bees, how can they know they are in decline, they don't have hives. they don't make honey. they spend their entire adult life alone.

you are being played with fake news. there is no bee decline any more than there is current manmade global warming.

what you are witnessing is patents expiring on products, so in order to stop others making the products the manufacturer makes it seem like it's now dangerous.

Bumblebees are the main pollinator for blueberries, if true you should see a direct correlation

no they are not at all.

bumblebees are one pollinator amongst hunders of insects birds etc.

the wind pollinates more than bumblebees do.

and they are not in decline.

what part about bumblebees are solitary bees, don't live in colonies and don't produce honey, do you not understand?

how can bumblebees be affected by colony collapse when they don't even have a colony?

bumblebees are a minor pollinator, like i said, the wind plays more of a role in pollination than bees do.

bees are not in decline.

how do you think they are counting wild bees exactly?

do you understand that the colony collapse a few years ago in america was due to drought?

the only agenda here is not to get coaxed into another lie.

?
The exact quote is:
"While short-term laboratory studies on commercially bred species (principally honeybees and bumblebees) have identified sub-lethal effects, there is no strong evidence linking these insecticides to losses of the majority of wild bee species..."

The study in Nature, finds the effect could be as much as 3 times for Wild Bees

BS britfag creating diversions

--> Wind pollination is very imprecise, with a minute proportion of pollen grains landing by chance on a suitable receptive stigma, the rest being wasted in the environment. This form of pollination is used by grasses, most conifers, and many deciduous trees.

Re: Bumblebees make US endangered-species list for first time
The biggest problem that bumblebees have is not sprays. It's corporate agriculture. Family farms with hedgerows, trees, barns, and small plots of forest are what is needed for their survival. Having thousands of acres in a monocultural crop gives them nowhere to live and nothing to eat.

I have plenty of bumblebees. My worry is that the feds will seek to shut some of us down who do.

the bees are on their way to suing the human race.
now that they are endangered, they are starting to understand that we've been taking their honey for generations, and for every generation, a bee dies.
