I wrapped mine in aluminum foil, shiny side inward...problem solved. Symptoms all went away. I bought a cheap emf detector off Amazon, took before and after readings, and this confirmed that it works. The foil blocks all deadly emfs coming from the meter. My 23 year old son thought of this...the kid has a mind of a scientist, and brilliant. Homeschooling paid off. |

No, sorry it doesn't In order to block EMF waves you would need a faraday cage... one opening and it will not work... you may be redirecting the waves but not blocking them. |

Perhaps if you took a solid piece of sheet metal and placed it inside the house directly behind the meter it would redirect the signal and block a fair amount from coming inside the house... but if you have a wifi antenna for your computer then it's pointless because they operate on the same frequency |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 74550692 United States 03/25/2017 04:37 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I battled and won at my house in Rhode Island. They showed up and said my analogue was faulty. I had no idea they installed a smart one without my consent. If you OWN your house and want to battle and win. Go here [link to freedomtaker.com] Follow the instructions, you will become friends with the local postmaster after a while. You must be willing to spend some money on postage fees if you want to do this right. Installing a smart meter is an assault. The electric company loses ALL rights and privileges once they do this to you as the home owner. You just need to know how to legally inform them of this. That website was the best. $85 I think up front, but you get your own analogue meter, and legal docs ti file on your own behalf, and basic steps to follow, but you must study up first before you battle. If you battle and electric company comes out, know your rights and video tape it all. At one point, I called the guy, about 4 months into the battle. He talked me through some ideas which helped me win. After a year, I allowed the electric company back on to my property after they properly showed me the manufacturer data for a New GE based analogue meter. I approved theirs, they removed my analogue meter (had a pro install) but don't give name, gave it back. The only downfall was financial. After all was said and done, the state of RI allowed the main electrical provider to charge a fee to anyone who they had to actually go and read the meter of. $13 a month. But safety for the family and I come first. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 74550692 United States 03/25/2017 04:49 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | AT my new house I own this. I bought the place and it isn't a smart meter but it sends out the wireless ping so they can ride down the road and get a reading. It doesn't collect "smart" data like internet of things. So I pulled out the EMF scanner and yup pulse every 4-8 seconds. Not as huge as the smart meter they tried in RI, but clearly just pinging away all day. I am not ready to fight over this one YET. So I wanted to find something that could reduce. Because NOTHING you do can totally block it. If you did completely block it, the electric company couldn't get their readings and they will come up and see that you built some type of structure around it that blocks the ping. You will have to fight to keep it. So I said what is out there that highly reduces the ping power and will let a little through for the readings. I bought the faraday cover and it works. It reduces the ping power %75 and I still don't get a reading behind the meter. That is why I knew it wasn't high powered smart meter. I do not get readings behind the meter. Just in the front. Maybe designed to broadcast the ping in a forward motion. Anyways, I could take a pic of the cage, put GLP on my hand and imgur the image... I could take before readings and after If you don't own your home and have smart meters, this is a last ditch thing. They cant bitch because they get their readings and you get a reduced amount of exposure. |

It can measure RF and LF radiation. In radio-frequency (RF) radiation meter mode it measures RF radiation from 1 MHz to 6 Ghz (gigahertz) AND in low frequency (LF) magnetic meter mode it can measure from 1mG - 500mG (milliGauss). Here is the technical specification: Dual operation mode: RF power meter mode and LF Gauss meter mode. Frequency range: 100MHz to 6GHz (RF meter) (useful up to 8GHz), 50Hz to 10KHz (Gauss meter). Super Wide dynamic range 60dB (RF meter). High sensitivity --55dBm to 0 dBm (25mV/m to 14.8V/m) (RF meter), 1mG - 500mG (Gauss meter). Peak power density measurement 1.5uW/m2 to 0.58W/m2. LCD Histogram and bar display to display power density level. Analog RF(AM,FM) and Digital burst RF(GSM,TDMA,CDMA,DECT, ZigBee, Bluetooth, UWB, WiFi, WiMAX 2.4GHz, 3.6GHz, 5.8GHz). Max and Hold function, mW/m2, V/m, dBm, mG, uT. Built-in Sensing Antenna. Small, compact handheld design, 69mmX110mm. Battery operated (9V DC) ----------------------------------------------------------------- This means it can measure radiation from the following sources: - cell phones - smart meters - cell phone towers (base stations) - wiFi routers and WIFI networks - cordless (DECT) phones - microwave ovens - spy cameras - digital baby monitors - digital TV - A/V Sender Receivers - wireless burglar alarms - wireless video games (Playsation 3 and the like) - household wiring - air conditioners - ceiling fans - computers -electric blankets -garage door control - rechargers - Transformers - solar panels - surge protectors - toothbrushes and more. But distance to source is very important. I would never live by a cell tower. The power is lower than a cell tower but obviously much closer and pinging just as much. |

What this type of hit piece does do on the other hand is make people even more afraid of cancer, they will then go to see their doctor to see if they have cancer, they will be diagnosed with cancer (even though cancer occurs naturally and disappears naturally, because our bodies are great mechanisms !) They will take cancer treatment only to see the cancer getting worse (remember they only went for a routine check up to off) |
