A devastating mega tsunami could hit tourists hotspots in Spain and Portugal at ANY TIME killing thousands, warn scientistsIt is only a matter of time before a giant wall of water smashes into the coast of Spain and Portugal, scientists have warned.

The claims were made in a new documentary La Gran Ola or 'The Great Wave' Scientists have warned that the area is completely unprepared for the tsunami

It has been compared to an earthquake of 1755 which killed 10,000 people

The Gulf of Cadiz sits on a major tectonic boundary making it prone to tsunamis

This happened in 1755 in Lisabon and could come back

Lisbon is pretty hilly .. and in the 1755 quake there would have been time for most people in the heavily populated areas to get away from the Harbor and "uphill" after the quake but before the Tsunami arrived ..."IF" they had known one was coming (and in this day and age everybody there WOULD KNOW it was coming). There are some outlying low lying places further back into the harbor, but those are lightly populated compared to the main part of the city itself.
