This is about doing what we all secretly dreamed obama would do.
Establish syria by force and take control of the situation. Implementing safe zones, stabilizing the region the only way it can be truthfully stabilized and we all know it. That is for one party to take control of it first and then move on from there.
Trump said he wants elections in syria. I think he's serious. That can't be done until someone not Assad takes control.
Those in the refugee camps will be allowed to vote.

I don't know how feasible the split of syria actually is. I personally love the idea. Let Jordan and the other stable nations absorb syria and we can get the hell out there.
The biggest obstacle with that will be Russia because of Tartus and of course he really doesn't want that pipeline going through
